What a way for a young couple to spend a Saturday nite at Waffle House and Walmart. We are gluttons for punishment I guess. [I mean the Walmart part]
Lorin and I were a little bored Saturday nite since her parents are on vacation in Alaska, and my parents have recently moved to suburban Memphis (Olive Branch, MS).
We stopped by Walmart, which by they way is always good for a laugh because the freaks go to Walmart after 10PM. I immediately headed for the Electronics section. Picked up Kill Bill Vol. 1, The Last Samurai and Schindler’s List.
I woke up Sunday morning and watched Schindler’s List. I guess I saw this five or six years ago. I had forgotten what an asshole Schindler is in the movie. He’s really only out for a buck and initially is only trying to help the Polish Jews because they are cheap labor. Still a good flick though. It really tears at your heart to know that a madman like Hitler could kill 6,000,000+ Jews.
I rented Kill Bill Vol. 1 when it came out on DVD several weeks ago, so I haven’t gotten around to watching my copy yet. It’s a great movie, I couldn’t pass up buying it.
Lorin and I saw The Last Samurai in the theatre. I watched part of it Sunday morning after Schindler’s List, but it was cut short. My grass needed cutting and I had been a slacker all day Saturday and decided it couldn’t wait any longer.
