Around 1:40pm today, I got a message on my TiVo about new HD channels added to my Comcast lineup. While the message is old hat, it’s exciting news because it means that Comcast continues to work on adding new HD content here in podunk NIKNAR (Rankin) county.
Subject: A lineup change has occurred
From: The TiVo service
Date: Sat 11/10The TiVo service has detected a change in your cable lineup.
Added:
406 NFLHD
414 FOODHD
415 HGTVD
420 USAHD
421 TBSHD
423 CNNHDIf any channels have moved, the scheduled recordings on those channels have already been moved to the new channel for you. If any channels were removed, the scheduled recordings on those channels have been deleted.
If any channels have been added, the DVR assumes that you receive them unless they are premium channels. To modify which of these added channels you receive, select “Specify channels I receive”.

Now if Comcast will just get the newly announced Superstation WGN in HD, it will be great! Too bad Cubbies season is over for the year.
