Here is a short howto on setting up ad blocking in Mozilla Firefox 0.9.
- Download Firefox 0.9.
- Install the Adblock extension.
- Restart your Firefox after you have installed Adblock.
- Download adblock.txt
- Click Tools -> Adblock -> Preferences (or Ctrl+Shift+P)
- Click Adblock Options -> Import filters. Browse to the file location where you saved adblock.txt. Click OK to overwrite your list (if you have one) or Cancel to append to your current list. Click Done.
I hope this will help eliminate most of the ads you seen on frequently browsed sites. It works well for me.
