Google Talk gets better

Now you can save your Google Talk chat sessions in a folder in your Gmail account. FAQ

Google has also added a chat from Gmail functionality.

I’ve used it some already since noticing it today, and it’s pretty sweet. I’ve always been able to save my chats in AIM/GAIM, but they have to be saved as a file on your hard drive. Also, you would have to datestamp the file so you accidentally write over an old saved session. It works but there still has to be a little thought before closing a chat. Google Talk saves them automatically, but if you have more than one machine that has Google Talk installed, the chat sessions that are saved are independent to that machine. Thanks to this new feature, all of your Google Talk conversations can be saved in your Gmail account.

Again, great innovations from Google!
